Andromeda was established in 2001 as an investment company with a focus on funding emerging growth businesses with breakthrough proprietary products and/or services in high-technology, information technology and communications, with particular emphasis in the fields of media and advertising and public relations. Through a third-party, it had been actively seeking a major acquisition since the fall of 2001.
Andromeda, and its wholly owned subsidiary e-commatrix.com inc develop, deliver, manage and host proprietary marketing, communications and eBusiness applications.
Andromeda provides clients with the ability to retain proven Internet marketing, commerce and business applications immediately through a Managed Service Provider (MSP) model, rather than having to dip into shrinking capital budgets. The Company’s clients are able to implement better ways of doing business with low cost, turnkey solutions which result in a shorter return on investment cycle. Our products are developed as Application Service Provider (ASP) solutions, which are similar to “renting” software. Clients pay an upfront fee for access to the application and a monthly managed service fee as opposed to bearing the entire upfront cost of development and implementation. With multiple clients, the cost to each is only a fraction of the typical upfront development cost thus resulting in a shorter ROI cycle for the client. The ASP/MSP system also ensures recurring revenues for the Company.
In early 2005, the company acquired the business operations of Tri-Media Marketing & Publicity Inc.
